Squabble Released

The story of the little beaver Squab being thrown out of the woods by an angry woodcutter-turtle is told in the game Squabble. If you haven’t tried it, click here to download it! If you have tried the beta, do try the full, free version.

Let me know what you think! Thank you for playing! :)

An exciting 2009

As July is coming to my close, we are getting closer and closer to a very interesting second half of 2009. On my part it’s the release of the final version of Squabble. You can find the beta on this page for free.

Squabble_Dev

But there’s more to expect, like the eagerly-awaited release of Windows 7! I will be making a full report and review of this really great operating system, which has recently been declared RTM (Release to manufacturing), during the coming weeks. I already have the Release Candidate running on a virtual machine for testing purposes, and people, it is stable, reliable, pretty, functional and comes with all those small tweaks and tricks that make it far better than Vista and especially XP.

I am also getting a new phone with Google’s Andriod OS, the HTC Hero, when it becomes available here in Sweden in august. The Andriod OS together with HTC’s addition “Sense” will also be reviewed as the phone is made available to me.

LennyAttack 1.0 released!

As a fun little sideproject for the past weeks, I’ve been developing a helicopter fighting game based upon the original LennyCopter engine!

You will find the game here! Enjoy!

And by the way, thanks to Philip Dynesius and his cat who have made this game possible.

Thanks!

LennyAttack, soon ready

My latest project has gone by a lot faster than I had thought at first and I am proud to tell the world that LennyAttack soon will be available.

LennyAttack

If you’re a returning visitor to this site, or have the slightest knowledge of my work, you are probably familiar with LennyCopter, the simple but addictive helicopter simulator game.

This next game is based on the LennyCopter engine but now features missiles, where you can, either against an AI opponent or another human player, fight eachother out in the skies. Avoid the edges and the missiles, and shoot down the other helicopter to win!

LennyAttack will be available some time next week, so stay tuned!

Squabble Beta released

After much hard work, I’ve decided to release a beta of the upcoming platform game Squabble.

Find and download it here!

Squabble Beta

After a lot of hard work, my latest project Squabble will be reaching beta stage some time next week!

Squabble beta

Squabble is a 2D platform game created by me, detailing the story of Squab, a beaver thrown out of his forest and forced to fight his way back to his river where he can build a new home.

Check back here on the third or fourth of July for the first beta of Squabble, and let me know what you think!

The beavers are getting their revenge

Work continues with my current project, a platform game. I really have no specific information or screens to put here yet, as work is still in its earliest stages. What I can say is that two close friends of mine will be working with designing this game that I will write, and it will tell the story of a beaver called Squab who is thrown out of his forest home and has to fight his way back. Excited? Of course you are.

And as the Windows 7 RC is coming up, I will be getting my hands on it and reviewing it very soon! So check back here for more news during thecoming week. Thank you:)

Next project – Platform game

My current, newest project is now a brand-new platform game. Little of the game is as of yet done, as work is still progressing on the graphics and physics engine.

This, however, means that you who have a good (or preferrably great) idea for a new platform game, might have a chance to see your dream come true! Let me know if you have any tips or suggestions by e-mailing them to me or leaving a comment to this blog post.

More information on the game will come out here as work progresses.

How safe are you online?

I recently became aware of a quiz designed to test how safe you are online. No, it has nothing to do with firewalls or anti-virus protection. This is about the kind of threat that can be neutralized, if you know how to protect yourself.

Phishing is the latest trend in computer “hacking”. It’s where people send out e-mails pretending to be from banks or other companies and ask you for your credentials, credit card numbers, passwords etc.

It is expected that 8.5 billion phishing e-mails are sent out each month! Just how good are you seperating real from fake e-mails? Take the quiz here:

Escape!

And so, sooner than I expected it, my latest release is here: entitled Escape. In this labyrinth game you must, using the mouse cursor, navigate through a number of obstacles and decieving walls in order to get from start to finish.

If you move the cursor out of the game window, if you move to fast or hit a wall, you will lose. Try it out! :) It’s free and available under the menu ”Projects” at the top of this page, or you cand find it here. Enjoy!
